This piece is painted in what's called "Antique Green." it is one of the oldest and most traditional Spanish ceramic patterns. Shades of green, brown, red and gold are hand painted onto a warm beige background. It has been hand shaped on a potters wheel and hand painted with a paintbrush.
The clever feature of this pitcher is that the mouth is pinched closed so that ice and fruit don’t splash out into glass.
