About Polish Pottery

The history of the famed Polish pottery town of Boleslawiec began several thousand ago. The remarkable pottery created by artisans in Boleslawiec has roots dating back to at least 6,000 B.C. The story of Boleslawiec Polish Pottery is both an interesting and triumphant one. The potters of this town and region have had to overcome immense setbacks, but they have always prevailed and exist as one of the most famous producers of pottery in the world.

Ceramika Artystyczna (CA) is a world renowned maker of hand painted stoneware from Boleslawiec, Poland. Stoneware made by CA is of the highest quality and most exquisite and unique artistry

Signature UNIKAT Polish pottery of the highest level of artistry. It is created by extremely talented artists who enjoy the privilege of working on their designs from beginning to end. Thus, these pieces are very limited, and each of them is a remarkable work of art with fine designs.

Instead of just initials, the artists sign the pieces using their full names. Also, the pieces are incredibly unique as they are hand-made and reflect the style and inspiration of a particular artist.

Weronika Budlandczyk-In my work as a pattern designer I find most inspiration in the incessant combination of the tradition and the novelty. After all stoneware is a material of strictly defined decoration canons. However, what I find interesting is enriching traditional patterns with modern motives for this may result in a truly original and unique decoration.
